Swami Sri Lakshmanacharya heard about Srinagaram and its construction through Bala Bramhananda Swamiji. Later on Sri Vidyaranya Maharshi in 15th Century tried to fulfill the same in the place called Vijayanagaram, and could not succeed in His endeavor. That place was known as “Sri Nagar” Capital of Kashmir State. Though the foundation was laid the temple could not be completed as Sri Adi Shankara Swamiji was blessed with short life. Sri Adi Shankara was very eager to build it in 7th century in Kashmir, but could not make it success due to unavoidable circumstances prevailed. Praying in such a temple is supposed to endow beneficial effects to the life (jeeva). If any one prays and meditate SriChakram with a fruit, leaf, flower or water as per ones own capacity one will get the desires fulfilled and have peace, health and wealth.Ī Temple built in the form of Sri Chakram Constitute Sri Nagaram. He prayed her as "Sri Chakra Priya Bindu Tarpana paraam Sri Raja Rajeswarim".Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi is seated comfortably in Srichakram in the center, as Bindu and being worshipped by all the deities connected in the network of creation, Protection and Death Such Brahma, Vishnu, Iswara, Astadikpalaaks and Nine Planets etc. Sri Adi Sankara pronounced that the Mother Goddess Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi takes the form of the 'Bindu' in the Center of Sri Chakrarn and residing in it.
